IJS Working Group

The IJS Working Group is an independent group of coaches, choreographers, officials and other interested persons working to improve IJS through discussion and development of proposals for revisions to ISU rules.

Participation in the IJSWG is through discussion boards accessed through this page.  The discussions are only visible to members of the working group.

Membership in the working group is open to:

  1. Current and former coaches

  2. Current and former elite skaters
  3. Experts in fields related to skating (music, dance, etc.)
  4. Experts in sports medicine and biomechanics
  5. Current and former officials

To obtain an account and password to participate in the IJSWG, e-mail editor2008 at iceskatingintnl.com.

It is preferred that working group members post under their real names.  However, participation under a screen name is permitted.

To participate, members must agree they will NOT distribute elsewhere anything posted on the board, other than their own posts.  They must also agree they will NOT give their user name and password to a third party.

In your e-mail please provide:

  1. Your full name

  2. Mailing address

  3. Your area of expertise (From list above.)

  4. User name  (Name you will post under.  A screen name is permitted if you do not want to post under your own name)

  5. Include the following statement:

I will not post elsewhere, or otherwise distribute, anything posted on the IJS Working Group boards, other than my own writing.  Further, I will not give my user name and password to a third party.  I understand that violation of theses rule will result in termination of my account on the IJSWG boards and end participation in the IJSWG.

The e-mail address from your account request will be used to allow other members to send you private messages through the board, but will not be visible to other members or the pubic.

Account registration is only possible through this process.  Only the administrator (George Rossano) will know the identities of members who use a screen name.
